Bruta x MC Tha — Meu Santo É Forte
Interdisciplinary project developed at FAPCOM across the Fundamentals of Marketing and Photography courses, by the student agency Bruta — a photo essay and in-depth cultural study about Brazilian artist MC Tha, titled “Meu Santo É Forte”.
The production explored three thematic pillars of the artist’s trajectory: her origins in Cidade Tiradentes, her relationship with nature, and the spirituality of Candomblé embedded in her music. The project encompassed research, creative photography, post-production, editorial layout, and video production.
Challenges
Translating into image the essence of an artist whose work is deeply rooted in territory, faith, and resistance — capturing the authentic Brazilian diversity that defines Bruta’s identity, without reducing MC Tha to visual stereotypes or surface-level representations.
Results
A complete photo book featuring an original photo essay, editorial layout, branding integrated with Bruta’s visual identity, and a behind-the-scenes record of both photo and video production — documenting the full creative process of an advertising project that celebrates culture, ancestry, and Brazilian identity.
